Elite Performance Marketing Is Scouting for New Talent

Elite Performance Marketing's director detailed the company's ongoing hiring efforts. He also shared some of his favorite questions to ask during interviews.

As the Elite Performance Marketing’s team pursues its growth goals, Matt, the firm’s director, is working to expand his group. He explained what type of people they are seeking by saying, “We want to identify candidates who have real passion for the industry. Without that, a person isn’t willing to commit to improving on a daily basis. That is a requirement for the modern marketplace.”

The firm’s director also looks for career-minded people when adding to his team. As Matt put it, “If we get the sense that a candidate is simply looking for a good job, that’s a little bit of a turn-off. We’re dedicated to finding talented professionals who want to grow and develop as our company does. We provide a rewarding and challenging path for our associates. Those who have the dedication to follow it will reap incredible rewards.”

"You can learn everything you need to know about a potential addition to your team with a few strategic questions,"

Elite Performance Marketing’s Director Shares Revealing Interview Questions

There are many different tactics interviewers can use to identify the right candidates, according to Matt. At Elite Performance Marketing, the leadership team poses questions that draw revealing answers. “You can learn everything you need to know about a potential addition to your team with a few strategic questions,” added the director.

Matt likes to project into the future as part of the interview process. As he explained, “One way to find out if a candidate has a real drive to succeed is to ask about the future. I’ll have him or her imagine that we’re meeting a year from the day of the interview. Then, I’ll ask what we achieved together during that time. The answer tells me whether the person has done his or her homework and really understands our company’s mission.”

Another incisive question that Matt asks involves the candidate’s role model. “When I ask a candidate to tell me about his or her role model, I get an idea of the individual’s ambition,” he added. “This also lets me know how introspective the person is about development. I get a sense of the behaviors and attributes to which the candidate aspires.”

The director also recommends asking about specific accomplishments in the candidate’s past. As he stated, “This is a common question, but I think it’s a crucial one to ask. Past performance is the best indicator of future success. If a person can’t point to a prior achievement, that’s a troubling sign.”
