CATS Students Welcome An Olympic Hero
Online, December 8, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Students at the prestigious CATS College, one of the best independent schools in London, have been welcomed in to London 2012's Get Set network, in recognition of their commitment the to the international community and the Olympic and Paralympic Values.
Sebastian Coe, chairman of LOCOG, said: "When London won the right to host the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, we made a clear promise to use the power of the 2012 Games to inspire young people.

As part of the scheme CATS College students will be mentored by Paralympic Rowing Champion, Alistair McKeen as he visits the College to support students with their sporting activities. Alistair says "The initiative provides a great opportunity for young people and athletes to empathise with each other and break down barriers. I enjoy working as an Athlete Mentor to share my experiences with others."
Students at Canterbury will be offered Olympic tickets in 2012, which will be given to the students who are most involved in Sports, the Olympic Values and the CATS College Leadership Award. With the countdown to the games, it's an exciting time for all of us as we prepare to welcome the world to England.
