2nd Annual "Run the Bases with the Aces"

Support local men as they race the bases in high heels before the Aces Baseball game to show support of ending violence against women & children

Reno, NV - Safe Embrace is proud to announce the 2nd Annual "Run the bases with the Aces" event, where local men race the bases in high heels before the Aces Baseball game to show support of ending violence against women & children. This year they will host 2 races: The first race is open to the general public for any man. The second race will be prominent local men in the community including Under Sheriff Todd Vinger, Washoe County Commissioner David Humke, Washoe County Public Defender Jeremy Bosler, Reno Sparks Chamber Director Mark Tulman,& Reno Aces mascot Archie, just to name a few. The event will take place June 24th, 2011 at the Aces Baseball Stadium. Doors open at 6:05 p.m. and the first race will begin at 6:15 p.m.

Safe Embrace is looking for sponsors, runners and spectators to help make this event a success. Sponsorships are $100 and $250. General Public first race is $125 and individual tickets are $25 which includes a reserved seating ticket to the game, a T-shirt and a raffle ticket.

Safe Embrace is a non-profit organization that recognizes the profound social and individual problems caused by family violence. They are dedicated to stopping the cycle of violence in families. Safe Embrace provides intervention and prevention services to facilitate the opportunity for all people to live free from abuse.
All contributions you make will positively impact Safe Embrace and the women and children we serve. We hope to see you at the game supporting these men as they run the bases to end violence against women & children.
