The fabric structure was installed to offer a free business hub to service an urgent need of desolated Canterbury businesses. Up to 300 people at a time can be accommodated in the tensile structure which was open for business in June. The center will provide various business facilities as well as meeting rooms which will offer local buyers, suppliers and business owners a chance to meet in comfort and away from the chaos of the city. With a meeting place such as this, local companies will be able to get back to business and to rebuilding the local economy; a necessary task in the reconstruction of Christchurch as a city.
