Therm-Omega-Tech has released a new self-actuation drain tempering valve that has twice the flow capacity as their original DTV valve.
Online, September 7, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Therm-Omega-Tech, the global leader in the design and manufacture of self-actuating temperature control valves, announced today that they released a new drain tempering valve with twice the flow capacity of its original DTV valve. The company spent extensive time designing and developing a valve in response to customer demand for a valve that can be used in applications where a high volume of effluent must be tempered; the result being the new 1" DTV valve.

Common applications where water over 140â°F becomes a concern include boiler blow down, commercial dish washers, laundries, discharge from humidifiers, autoclaves, commercial coffee makers, and condensate drains. The valve is completely self-operating and easy to install. Since the DTV valve is open only when the effluent exceeds the specified setpoint temperature, it also conserves water by automatically turning off cold water when not needed.
