StreamServe Sponsors University Student's Participation in Antarctic Expedition

Expedition expands StreamServe's commitment to sustainability and to the need for greater awareness to environmental issues around our world

BURLINGTON, Mass. - March 22, 2010 - StreamServe, a leading provider of business communication solutions for document efficiency and customer experience management, announced its sponsorship of Polar Explorer Robert Swan's recent 2041 Antarctic Expedition (March 5-18, 2010). Robert Swan and the 2041 team led an international team of corporate leaders, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, teachers and young people on a journey through the Antarctic Peninsula, visiting incredible locations and sharing insights and personal experiences of this unique continent along the way.

StreamServe's sponsorship fully paid for Imalka De Silva, a Sri Lankan university student, to participate in this expedition. During this expedition, De Silva experienced the precious Antarctic habitat first-hand and shared her experiences and new awareness for the necessity to protect the climate and environment on the 2041.org blog: http://expedition.2041.com/2010/.

This sponsorship is yet another example of StreamServe's strong commitment to the environment and to the promotion of ways in which businesses and organizations can increase their levels of sustainability. In addition to its contributions to noble environmental causes, such as UNICEF's Clean Water Project, the company last year established the StreamServe Sustainability Program. This program helps businesses become more cost-efficient while aiding them in achieving their goals of becoming less reliant on our planet's resources.

"Through the StreamServe Sustainability Program, we strive to educate our customers on ways to increase their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and improve the world as a whole," said Dennis Ladd, StreamServe's president and CEO. "As part of this program, and similar to our recent sponsorship of UNICEF, our sponsorship of this 2041 expedition is based on our strong commitment to broadening awareness to geographic areas around our world that need attention. By sponsoring Imalka De Silva's expedition with Robert Swan and the 2041 team, we are educating our youth and the public at large on the increasing need to preserve the beauty of the Antarctic region."

"While many people and organizations have good intentions about improving our environment and combating the effects of climate change, those who act upon these intentions are those who really make a difference. Through its sponsorship of my expedition to Antarctica, StreamServe helped to promote my research of this region and provided a university student a tremendous opportunity to explore and learn about the earth's fragile environment. While taking part in this expedition, Imalka experienced the thrill and beauty of our planet, and learned how humanity endangers it unless further action is taken. I am very grateful to StreamServe for this sponsorship and for their continued commitment to environmental causes," said Robert Swan.

"I thank StreamServe from the bottom of my heart for making my participation in this project possible," commented De Silva, an advocate of environmental protection since her youth. "Through this expedition and with Mr. Swan's guidance, I have been able to better understand the changes that are taking place in nature due to climate change and learn what can truly be done to stop it."
