Showtime Baseball to Host US Military All-Stars in Keizer, Oregon

Showtime Baseball will host US Military All-Stars for a two-day fundraising event on August 24th & 25th, 2012 at the Volcanoes Stadium, in Keizer, Oregon.

Showtime Baseball is proud to announce their association with the US Military All-Stars "Red, White and Blue Tour." Showtime Baseball will host the team for a special, two-day fundraising event at the Volcanoes Stadium, located in Keizer, Oregon, and will feature outstanding players from all branches of the US Military playing against Showtime's 19U select baseball team. Additional event highlights include the presentation of the Ground Zero Flag (with a procession from Vancouver, WA to Keizer, OR by the Oregon and Washington Patriot Guard); ceremonies honoring several United States Military Veterans from the Korean War until current (presented by Scot King of Remember the Wounded Ride), as well as youth exhibition games, a vendor fair, and more.

Billy Hayes, President of Showtime Baseball stated, "We are honored to be selected as participants in the US Military All Star's Red, White and Blue Tour. This is a very special opportunity for our organization. We are proud to be able to give back to the community and support our US Military by hosting this patriotic, two-day event."

Showtime Baseball will donate a portion of the event proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project and the US Military All Stars.

About the US Military All-Stars:

Founded in 1990, the U.S. Military All-Stars have created a network of 32 baseball teams worldwide. Since then, over 21,500 active duty and reserve personnel have participated.

The U.S. Military All-Stars are comprised of Active Duty, Reserve and Veterans who participate while off-duty and cover their own expenses. The players are selected among thousands of personnel worldwide and represent some of the most talented athletes in the armed forces and have deployed in direct support of the Global War on Terrorism.
