Satellite,Mobile Backhaul and Ka-Band Forums at CommunicAsia 2012

NewSat joins global and regional SATCOM and mobile backhaul providers in CommunicAsia 2012 (The 23rd International Communications and Information Technology Exhibition and Conference)in Singapore.

SES will hold The 23rd International Communications and Information Technology Exhibition and Conference from June 19 to 22 in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. CommunicAsia 2012 includes trade shows, discussions and forums to showcase the recent solutions, strategies, market outlooks and industry trends with regional and global impact.

Some of the biggest satellite and communications providers in the local and global scenes will join the trade convention, including the International Telecommunication Union, Thaicom Public Company Limited, Singapore and Telecommunications Limited, Gilat, SpeedCast Ltd, Viasat, Altobridge, Hughes Network Systems, NewSat and Thuraya Telecommunications Company.

CommunicAsia is one of the most popular trade conventions in the region organized by Singapore Exhibition Services, a part of the Allworld Exhibitions Alliance. The organization is Asia's authority in international trade shows for niche markets like Engineering, Machinery, Communications, Mobile Backhaul and Technology sectors.

The summit will start with a series of forums and conferences on Satellite Communications and Broadband Driven Trends. The publisher of Talksatellite, Kevin French, will host "Comms on the Move." The program will gather insights from Intelsat VP Jay Yass (Global Accounts and Strategic Sales); TC Communications CEO Todd McDonell, and SES Vice-President Aslan Tricha (Sales Engineering).

"Maximizing Business Efficiencies for the Maritime Industry with Satellite Communications and ICT Solutions" will feature SingTel Satellite VP Titus Yong who will examine the operational and cost advantages of satellite communications usage in the maritime sector. Yong will talk about how broadband and mobile ICT can promote the welfare of maritime staff while enhancing operational efficiency via better traffic acceleration, diagnosis over video, real-time communications cost control and bandwidth optimization.

Deloitte Manager Benoit Denis will give advice to generate value-added service in "Developing Sustainable Growth in the Satellite Communication Industry."

In "Carrier Identification - Addressing What Has Been Missing in Satellite Communications," ComTech VP Fred Morris (Sales Engineering) will give updates on the latest interference mitigation efforts of the satellite and mobile backhaul industries, ranging from training and product quality to proposed carrier identification system.

"Ka-band and Australasian Satellite Growth" will feature Adrian Ballintine, the chief executive officer of NewSat. Mr Ballintine will talk about the Jabiru-1 satellite and key market trends in the Ka band and mobile backhaul sectors, including growth prospects and competition.

In "Opportunities and Challenges of the DTH Market in Asia-Pacific," Deepak Mathur, SES Senior Vice President (Commercial, Asia-Pacific & the Middle East ) will talk about the growing DTH market and evolution of content creation, market positioning for Asian players and key market challenges and opportunities.
