Report by Middle East Media Research Institute Exposes Islamist Sheikh's Connection to Top American Universities

MEMRI publishes new report "Sheikh Al-Qaradawi a& Qatar's Education City - Hosting U.S. University Students from CMU, Georgetown, Northwestern, Texas A&M, Virginia Commonwealth, Cornell & Others," released same week as U.S. Secretary Clinton's visit.

On January 19, 2010, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) published a detailed report by MEMRI Executive Director Steven Stalinsky, titled "Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradawi and Qatar's Education City - Hosting American University Students from Carnegie Mellon, Georgetown, Northwestern, Texas A&M, Virginia Commonwealth, Cornell & Others."

The report highlights the Qatari royal family's efforts to expand relations with U.S. universities and the Education City involvement of Sheikh Yousuf Al-Qaradawi, who has been barred from entering the U.S. and the U.K. and has been documented calling for the destruction of America and for the annihilation of the Jews. He has repeatedly called for the Muslim world to damage the U.S. economy by boycotting American products; has incited Muslims by calling for Islam's conquest of Rome, has warned the U.S. to change their policies or face "collapse," and has called for another Holocaust against the Jews, but this time at the hands of the Muslims.
