"Sub20 Cubing" Available Now on Appcatch, Amazon, and the Android Market

Released today in the Amazon Appstore and available in the Google Play Store, the app Sub20 Cubing, offers beginner and advanced speedcubers alike an easy-to-reference guide for improving their knowledge of the standard 3x3 Rubik's Cube.

Released last week in the Amazon Appstore and is available on Appcatch and the Android market, the app Sub20 Cubing, offers users everything they need to learn the concepts of solving a standard 3x3 Rubik’s cube and like cubes. The application serves as a one-stop reference guide for beginners and advanced “cubers” alike and provides easy, instant access to algorithms and tips on intuitive steps. All algorithms contained are based on the Fridrich method, the most common method used in speed-solving, and are organized in an easy, swipe-to-scroll environment making it easy to see all the algorithms and possible situations one may come across when orienting or permuting the last layer. Thanks to the “Notations” tab, users can quickly jump over and reference the meaning of all cube notations (letters representing rotations on the cube) if they need assistance interpreting the move set of a particular algorithm.

Sub20 Cubing is available for free worldwide on the Android market, Appcatch, and is only a dollar on the Amazon Store. Perfect timing for the app, as speed cubing has become one of the fastest growing hobbies throughout the world.

This app not only equips beginner and advanced cubers alike with the algorithms, notations, and illustrations they need to solve and improve their solve times, but it also helps promote what I like to call 'brain fitness'. Spatial intelligence involves training to brain to recognize faces, patterns, names and objects. By mastering the cube, the mind is trained to a thought process that can help it recognize the sequences of thoughts to form a final goal. Developing spatial intelligence through solving a Rubik's Cube boosts the ability to map and outline ideas.
