designed for seafood processors who handle many products through various steps in their production and packaging, and need fast, accurate information for production and sales. SIMBA tracks, labels and ships an unlimited number of products with specific species and characteristics. The system automatically generates bills of lading and verifies shipments. SIMBA Enterprise allows the processor to track and organize products by pallet, lot and case including repeated commingling and re-boxing. Inventory can be tracked by location, recording moves from warehouse to warehouse, re-pack and commingle products at any point in the process without losing lot traceability.
The system uses barcode data collection, and allows the worker to produce product labels with all pertinent information capturing product information (weight, size, color, grade) for that carton or bag on the fly from the production floor. The information is then stored in the SIMBA database which provides details for inventory management, traceability and shipping. The cartons may be accumulated onto a pallet and tracked with a single pallet identifier.
Van Loading At the time of shipping, the Van Loading feature of SIMBA Enterprise tracks each carton or pallet onto a specific van. A Bill of Lading is then produced automatically. This feature not only saves time in the shipping process, it eliminates disputes with the customer regarding what was actually shipped.
