Motorcycle Pirates Take Over New York on Friday

Innovative motorcycle group Biker Entourage hosts its third annual pirate ride in honor of Captain Kidd on Talk Like A Pirate Day

This Friday the metro area’s scurviest two-wheeled bilge rats will be riding the streets inhonor of New York’s most notorious pirate, Captain Kidd, through piratey landmarks acrossthe City.

BEWARE: They have a reputation of sword fighting at Captain Kidd’s residence atWall Street, tossing eyeballs at the unsuspecting citizenry, and holding talk-like-a-piratecontests in remembrance of, what else, Talk Like A Pirate Day.

A Paradigm Shift in Motorcycling

We strongly advise the citizens of New Amsterdam to stay indoors. These scalawags will be congregating at 7:30PM at the Ear Inn (326 Spring St.), then riding across Manhattan in full pirate garb. BEWARE, pillaging and general mayhem will likely occur.

The greater NY area's bikers get to re-enact their fav Game of Thrones scene on a motorcycle and in costume (hopefully not one that involves a beheading).

Why are we starting at the Ear Inn? TThis New York City landmark was erected in 1817 for James Brown, an African-American fighting alongside George Washington during the Revolution. It's also famous for being haunted by the ghost of a sailor, Mickey. Arrr that's where we start!

Stops will also include Captain Kidd's residence at 119 Pearl Street and Trinity Church (the Kidd was one of its main benefactors).

Had two-wheeled dragons been invented 300 years ago, pirates'd be roarin through the streets with 'em between their legs as sure as a shark loves a chumbucket. But since they're all dead, they'll have to enjoy vicariously through us from their netherworld.

PRESS: Members of the press are invited to ride pillion with us, photo-ops gallore ARRRGH!!.
