International Recognition for Legrand

The Legrand Group of Dubai, which operates in the area of designing and creating electrical and digital building infrastructure, has received international recognition through inclusion in the World Dow Jones Sustainability Index Stoxx (DJSI) for 2015.

The Legrand Group of Dubai, which operates in the area of designing and creating electrical and digital building infrastructure, has received international recognition through inclusion in the World Dow Jones Sustainability Index Stoxx (DJSI) for 2015.

The inclusion followed Dow Jones’ annual assessment conducted in September and is an illustration of Legrand’s performance in the social, societal, environmental and governance spheres. The DJSI recognises companies which are leaders in the area of sustainability. Since 1999, Dow Jones has been managing the Index in partnership with RobecoSAM, an investment specialist with its focus on Sustainability Investing.

The DJSI, which is one of the world’s first global sustainability indices, provides an insight into the business practices of the largest companies of the world. This year witnessed the most significant improvements being made in the Electronic Equipment, Instruments and Components industry.

Legrand, which is a leader in the field of smart home systems in Dubai is also represented in many other indices such as the  FTSE4Good index, Ethibel Pioneer and Ethibel Excellence Investment Registers as well as Ethibel Sustainability Index Excellence Europe and  Excellence Global, Oekom Research Corporate Rating and Eurozone Vigeo indices.

The smart home systems manufactured by Legrand give customers the ability to control their homes’  lighting, security, appliances, thermostat and many other devices even from an outside location, helping boost security as well as reduce energy bills and contribute towards environmental conservation.
