Paula is a health educator and health coach with over three decades of experience building healthy communities. She serves her community through establishing school gardens and advocating for food sovereignty, food justice, and environmental health. She also works with individuals as a health coach and holistic nutrition consultant. She teaches classes and workshops.  She develops curriculum and offers consulting services for program and curriculum design. Her areas of expertise include holistic nutrition using a functional medical model that looks at the underlying causes of imbalance that lead to disease; holistic nutrition for diabetes, and addressing chronic health conditions using food as a healing modality. Her training as a therapeutic chef enables her to translate nutrition recommendations into delicious food on the plate.
