Gilbert Netball and Netball America today announce a new Sponsorship Agreement

Big news day from the largest Netball Event in the World, the Netball World Cup 2015, leading sport suppliers, Gilbert Netball, have entered into a new sponsorship agreement with Netball America, the premier netball organisation in the USA and Gilbert has been selected as the Official Ball Supplier for the 2nd FISU World University Netball Championship 2016.

the growth of Netball globally.  Gilbert Netball have the foresight in understanding that investing in Netball in America, will see the emergence
of a new power house in the netball arena and we are excited about the
future”, says Netball America President, Sonya Ottaway.

Under the new deal, Gilbert Netball will partner with Netball America in a number of strategic initiatives, the first being the Official Ball Sponsor for the 2016 FISU World University Netball Championship, Miami, Florida, USA.

Gilbert Netball is a significant presence and Official Ball Sponsor at the 2015 Netball World Cup getting underway in Sydney, Australia this week.  The Gilbert ball is the choice of many of the world’s leading netball teams and tournaments.  Most of the world’s leading nations, including Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, Malawi, Trinidad and Tobago, Scotland and Wales all use it exclusively.  Gilbert netball kit is also becoming the first choice for netballers at all levels.  ​

The World University Championships (WUCs) are organized by the Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) and are played every two years. The inaugural World University Netball Championship was held at the Cape of Good Hope Sports Center in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2016, FISU will stage 33 WUCs, attracting approx. 6,500 participants from 105 countries.
