From January 25th to January 29th took place the Paperworld 2013 trade fair in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, along with the Creativeworld and the Christmasworld trade fairs.

According to the Messe Frankfurt, 2 967 exhibitors from 66 countries were present at the Paperworld, Creativeworld and Christmasworld trade fairs, and 83 206 visitors from 145 countries attended these three fairs.

According to the Messe Frankfurt, from the 45 360 visitors from all over the world that attended the Paperworld trade fair, a majority came from Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain and The Netherlands. Office supplies and school articles seem to have been very much in favour, this year.

Among the exhibitors I met with, the Japanese firm Taniguchi Shoyudo Co.,Ltd, a firm specialized in the production of Japanese washi paper-related items : Yuzen washi paper, Japanese paper goods, boxes, letter sets, paintings and calligraphy items, OAwashi paper,...

The firm i-stay from the United Kingdom that produces bags and straps, notably "the non-slip bag strap that stays put".

Also during my visit of Paperworld 2013, I came across four different exhibitors who were eager to share with me their dissatisfaction with what they called the decreasing numbers, through the years, of paper branch specialized visitors.

During my visit of the Paperworld 2013, on the last day of the fair, I must confess that the halls I visited were not that much crowded.

The Paperworld 2014 is scheduled to take place from January 25th to January 28th.

PS : According to the Messe Frankfurt, trade fair statistics are certified by the Gesellschaft zur freiwilligen Kontrolle von Messe- und Ausstellungszahlen, Berlin
