New contest invites innovative developers to implement and utilize OCR in their iPad Apps for a chance to win today's hottest technology tool - the New iPad.

OCR-IT LLC, a fast-growing document conversion and online image processing company based in Delaware, announced today that it will award an Apple iPad 3 to the first company or individual to launch an OCR-based app for the iPad. The contest is designed to encourage innovation and creativity in the development community by encouraging them to create applications that use image-to-text processing using the company's OCR-IT OCR Cloud 2.0 Web-based API.

"As tablet computers and smart phones increase in sophistication, creative developers are driving hard to deliver new and creative capabilities that extend the potential of these tools in ways that excite the imagination of end users," said principals at OCR-IT. "This contest intends to inspire developers and reward their success with a prize that encapsulates and embodies the value of ground-breaking technology. We are looking forward to rewarding creativity and enthusiasm."

OCR-IT will give a free, newest-generation iPad 3 to the creator of the first commercially successful OCR-application launched on the Apple App Store. The winning application should:
- Use OCR-IT OCR Cloud 2.0 API for image to text processing
