Zoe is also pleased to report another Zoe investor, Robert Deutsch, former Head of J.P Morgan's ETF Business has also joined the Committee.

Jones, who led Zoe Financial’s $2M seed round, has more than 34 years of experience in the financial industry; including 32 years at J.P. Morgan Investment Management where he was the Co-Head of US Equities and the CIO of Growth & Small Cap Equities. As BlackRock’s Co-Head of Global Active Equities and was responsible for over $1 trillion of assets.

Deutsch brings over 30 years of distribution experience into the Advisory Committee, from his 11 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management to over 20 years at J.P. Morgan where he is the current Chairman of the J.P. Morgan Exchange Traded Funds Board.

“Chris and Bob have grown businesses in our space at the largest scale,” says Zoe Financial’s Founder & CEO Andres Garcia-Amaya, “Their guidance and industry network have already been invaluable, so we are thrilled to have them be part of our journey in a major way,” Garcia explains that by leveraging experienced operators like Jones & Deutsch, Zoe has been able to accelerate their growth and strengthen the scalability of the business.

Chris Jones explains he was attracted to Zoe because "Finding a high-quality financial adviser is a highly inefficient and ineffective process and is ripe for modernization using digital technology. This is a trillion dollar cottage industry primed for digital disruption and transformation, and Zoe is rapidly emerging as a leader in that market."

Data from venture capital tracking service CB Insights shows that robo-advisors like Acorns, where Jones serves as Chair of their Investment Committee, have grown rapidly and raised over $2B from investors since 2013. While Zoe’s CEO Andres Garcia-Amaya has been able to show that affluent households still want the “high touch” of human guidance. The firm launched its matching algorithm in February, and it has already seen nearly $1B of investable assets looking to be matched with the independent financial advisors in their growing network.
