A veteran of the Seattle tech scene, Brendan (B.J.) Moore has spent over 20 years in the mobile industry. He held several sales and business development leadership roles at AT&T and went on to secure some of the first enterprise accounts at Glympse as VP of Enterprise Sales. He’s joining Zipwhip to set strategy and deliver revenue growth for Zipwhip’s new enterprise business unit.

"I wasn't out looking for this job, but after getting to know the Zipwhip team and seeing the proof point of the massive adoption in SMB, the consumer-to-business texting trend is undeniable,” says B.J. “I couldn’t resist the opportunity to help crack F500 enterprise.”

Text messaging is having its moment as businesses realize it’s simply the way people want to interact. Texting makes multi-touch customer experiences elegant and easy. As businesses seek to build a personalized relationship across the customer journey, texting is effortless, intuitive, and always-on. Zipwhip has seen 300% year over year growth in texting on toll free phone numbers, and growth in consumer-to-business texting is on track to continue the trend in 2017.

“B.J. has an incredible track record because he’s relentless about helping clients succeed, and he delivers. We are excited to have him at Zipwhip to build a team that will bring two-way text messaging to enterprise businesses,” says Lucas Price, Zipwhip’s SVP of Sales.

After two years of accelerating growth, Zipwhip’s carrier-grade texting platform now powers most of the consumer-to-business texting industry. Zipwhip has the proven ability to market and sell business texting software to SMB customers across dozens of verticals, and the market potential represents nearly 200 million business phone numbers across North America. A successful Series B round last quarter led by Voyager Capital and joined by Microsoft Ventures is funding Zipwhip’s investment in moving upstream to tackle enterprise accounts.
