Yunfei Wei, M.D. Joins the Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation

The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation welcomes Dr. Wei to their team of specialists. Fellowship trained at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Yunfei Wei is a compassionate doctor who always puts her patients first. As a medical student, her academic achievements were recognized with multiple scholarships and awards. She received her medical degree from China Medical University. After medical school, Dr. Wei moved to the United States to complete her internal medicine residency at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Dr. Wei’s understanding of oncology and hematology goes beyond the clinic with her experience as a medical research scientist. Her strong research experience in medical oncology and hematology and interests in clinical trials allow her to integrate current standard therapies with the latest advances. Her work has been published in the American Journal of Therapeutics and presented at the Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium for the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

During her free time, Dr. Wei enjoys spending quality time skiing, ice-skating, playing tennis, biking, and cooking with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Wei is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
