Yoga Teacher Training Program Offered By Leading Yoga Retreat In The Bahamas

The Yoga training course will begin March, 5th 2013 and is a one-month inmersion in the practice of Yoga.

In 1969, Swami Vishnudevananda, founder of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers, taught the first Yoga Teachers' Training Course (TTC) in the West. Today, this internationally renowned course is taught by his close disciples. Over 30,000 students have graduated from this comprehensive course. In addition to providing teacher trainees with an in-depth knowledge of classic Yoga practices, Swami Vishnu created the TTC as part of his global peace initiative, structuring it in a way that each trainee will undergo a personal transformation and find inner peace. Thus, the TTC empowers graduates to become peaceful, self-controlled leaders and citizens of the world.

During this four-week intensive course, students will integrate daily ashram life with their Yoga training. This course is uniquely designed to provide a firm foundation from which the student will be able to teach others both intuitively and confidently. Strengthen your own Yoga practice through self-discipline and awareness of the nature of body, mind and spirit.

The TTC is open to anyone with a sincere desire for knowledge and personal growth.

Graduates of this course receive certification at the 200 hour level.

The Sivananda Yoga Retreat provides an immersion experience into the daily practices of a yogic lifestyle. More than just a yoga center, the Yoga Retreat offers teachings derived from the deeply-rooted Hatha Yoga traditions of a renowned lineage. All of the Ashram practices are geared toward the development of inner peace for a more harmonious world.

Established by Swami Vishnudevananda in the name of Master Swami Sivananda, the Ashram presents a balanced experience of Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga. The daily schedule includes meditation, pranayama (yogic breathing practices), asana (yoga postures) and study.
