August 24th, 2009 - Sunrise FL - XL1 Media Inc, an award winning Sunrise, Fl based advertising and design firm, creates identity for Grand Bahama Island's new Club Grand Bahama offering.
The Club Grand Bahama concept turns the island just 30 minutes away from the coast of Florida into an all-inclusive island. It has the advantages of an all-inclusive package without limiting the visitor to one resort. They choose where to stay, where to eat and what to do without having to constantly pulling out their wallet.
"Grand Bahama Island has been a long standing client with us and the opportunity to create the brand identity for such an innovative concept was one we were excited to execute," said Andrew Martineau, Creative Director of XL1 Media Inc. "As an islander myself that has had the opportunity to visit the island on numerous occasions, playing a part in bringing to life such an innovative concept is indeed a pleasure."
The identity created by XL1 Media Inc. will be on table tents, name badges, posters, Web site and all collateral for Grand Bahama Island, including letterhead and stationery package.
"This is a great opportunity for us as a boutique Sunrise FL based agency as projects like these normally go to agencies quadruple our size," said Martineau. "As this creative will be seen all over Grand Bahama Island and representing the Tourism Board and its group of participating hotels, restaurants and activity providers, it was important to create a brand identity that complimented the island's branding."
Using elements of the Islands Of The Bahamas logo and Grand Bahama Vacations logo was imperative to connect the new product offering to Grand bahama Island and the rest of the Bahamas. Martineau explains, "The leaves of the of the coconut tree were pulled from the Grand Bahama Vacations logo and the trunk of the tree was made up of the icon in the Islands Of The Bahamas logo representing Grand Bahama Island."
The all-inclusive vacation concept has been around for quite some time, but this is the first time it is being applied to an entire island. Club Grand Bahama features five hotels (Flamingo Bay, Pelican Bay, Port Lucaya Resort, Our Lucaya Reef Village, Radisson Our Lucaya Resort), 21 restaurants, 50 destination activities, three championship golf courses, beach parties, gaming and more. There are three packages to choose from. Silver is a nice taste of what the island has to offer, Gold is a deeper look at all there is to see and do and Platinum includes every possible restaurant and activity.
