XBOSoft: Oslo Seminar on Test Process Improvement and Model-based Testing

XBOSoft Oslo Seminar has been successfully hosted on Test Process Improvement and Model-based Testing.

XBOSoft, a global leader in software quality improvement, hosted the latest in a series of Norwegian software quality assurance seminars, with test process improvement and model-based testing as topics today.

Senior Quality Consultant at XBOSoft, Alan Trefzger, created a presentation that explained how to implement a structured Test Process Improvement plan. His experience combined with a series of actual cases attracted the attention of the attendees. "Over the past decade, the structured testing of software has grown to be an acknowledged discipline in its own right. To improve product quality, increase business value, and have better ease of use; a well structured testing process is essential. Since most IT projects are very different in their needs and goals, a flexible Test Process Improvement plan needs to be generated for each organization." said Alan.

Subsequently, Lionel C. Briand, Head of Research Group at Simula, IEEE Fellow & Professor at the University of Oslo, gave a presentation on the challenges of scalable, software test automation. He did this by explaining the principles of model-based testing (MBT) while describing actual projects that Simula Research Laboratory collaborated on with industry partners.
