Writing for Children - A Free Beginner's Workshop
Online, April 10, 2010 (Newswire.com) - On May 1st, The Muse Online Writers' Conference will be offering a FREE one-day workshop for beginning writers. It is geared toward children's writers, but much of the information is applicable for all writers.
This workshop offers the basics of writing such as: structure, formatting, grammar and punctuation, showing vs. telling, building three-dimensional characters, finding age appropriate words for specific grade levels, along with writing resources and tools. It will also touch on marketing for writers.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to get a critique of up to 250 words of their manuscript or article.
