WorldBridger Selected As A Finalist For PayPal Cross Border Commerce X Award

WorldBridger Ltd spent the day pitching Djini, it's new communication platform, at the PayPal X Innovate 2010 conference at Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Selected as a finalist in PayPal's Developer Challenge, Djini is vying for the Cross Border Commerce X Award - along with a $10,000 cash prize - to be awarded Wednesday.

Finalists were invited to present their ideas at the Innovate conference to PayPal's network of developers, venture capitalists and panel of expert judges. The Cross Border Commerce X Award is given by PayPal to the application that best promotes cross-border commerce, and the winner will be announced Wednesday evening, October 27.

"Being recognized as a finalist is an honor," said Hakim Mamoni, WorldBridger's founder and director. "But winning the award would be icing on the cake. At it's very core Djini is a cross-border application, and there is significant potential - something PayPal has recognized by giving us this opportunity."

The Djini communication platform empowers people traveling to China to communicate across the language barrier with a set of mobile services available on any mobile phone via simple exchange of text messages. The Djini suite provides valuable tools to travelers and expatriates: Text (SMS) Translation, Phone Interpretation, City Address Book (CAB), and International Call Connect.
