WisdomTree Selects FinMason to Power New Investor Tools

FinMason, a Boston-based FinTech and investment analytics firm, announced today a multi-year agreement with WisdomTree Investments, Inc. (NASDAQ:WETF), an exchange-traded fund ("ETF") and exchange-traded product ("ETP") sponsor and asset manager driven by research and technology.

Under the terms of the multi-year deal, FinMason will deliver institutional-grade analytics to WisdomTree’s new Digital Portfolio Developer via the FinRiverTM API platform, a flexible and lightning-fast API connected to one of the largest independent analytics platforms in the wealth management industry. FinRiver’s simple API runs thousands of calculations on portfolios in milliseconds. Users can instantaneously run risk and performance metrics, aggregate factor exposures, do scenario analysis and stress testing, and conduct Monte Carlo simulations – with up to 700 analytical items in all.

“WisdomTree is committed to helping advisors and investors build the portfolios they need to reach their goals. This commitment goes beyond providing specialized and affordable sources of return. It means providing useful tools and analytics as well,” said David Yates, WisdomTree Chief Information Officer. “FinRiver’s powerful APIs allow us to deliver the analytics we want exactly where and when we want them, providing users with a better product very rapidly.”

The power behind FinRiver is the Algonath, a highly-scaled computational complex that analyzes over six million individual investments globally. It is a data agnostic, intelligent platform that can calculate a standard analytical payload on a 50-asset portfolio is less than 20 milliseconds.

“The simplicity of FinRiver’s APIs, combined with the robust analytics of the Algonath, makes it possible for client-centric organizations, such as WisdomTree, to very quickly and easily access an enormous amount of analytics that would normally take a considerable amount of time and money to build and maintain internally,” said Kendrick Wakeman, CFA, CEO and founder of FinMason. “We are thrilled to provide modern, purpose-built technology to a global company that stresses the importance of high-quality analytics.”
