When Two Metal Bands Collide: Cory Brandan Collaborated With WEESP, and It Was a Perfect Match

Couple weeks back the WEESP band announced their newest single "Solar Empire", done in collaboration with Cory Brandan from Norma Jean.

The two vocals sounded together as if  Cory’ve always been in WEESP, and fans got a chance to hear something new and fresh in a world of alternative music.

The single immerses you in deep and lush electronic sounds with some outstanding strong vocals, being at the same time dark, hypnotic and full of energy. What it really did was putting a band aside from your regular alternative music as these guys deliver something you did not expect to hear when pushing “play” button.

As if it was not enough, WEESP recorded another single with Cory, called “Everything burns”, which totally keeps up with “Solar Empire”, and it will be featured on their upcoming album “The Void”. The album release is due August 20, but the pre-order already started on their website.

The WEESP was formed in 2008 and guys had a long and challenging journey, adjusting their music and sound in a way it would be something new rather than common metal and alternative songs. Their collaboration with Cory was a huge step forward since now the band got in the game and is aiming high.

“We thought Cory’s vocal would be perfect and it really fit in”, says Mike, the band’s guitar player.”It was time for us to do something big so we took our chance and the result was great”.
