What Does The Coming Internet "Mobilegeddon" Mean For Websites?

A new term has been coined, "Mobilegeddon" it is a reference to the changes coming soon around the world when Google changes its searching algorithms April 21st. If you have a website which does not properly display on a mobile phone or tablet it could be removed in the newest and possibly biggest Google update. Website owners can check at Branson Technology with the Google website testing tool.

Google has been very busy updating and improving search results on the web for everyone. The Internet of things is here and Google has been at the forefront of making things easier to be found while searching. In a first of its kind Google announced that in the latter part of April 2015 there will be more changes taking place when outdated websites are removed or lose ranking through not being mobile viewable or ready.

The need for search to be as simple as possible has created new "dot" directories like the phone books of the past and other improvements across the world wide web. A website that is simply to hard to read with font size or print which is not readable or will not resize properly will disappear. The implementation of new technologies such as wearables, smart phones, tablets and many other things has pushed the need for a faster and easier web search experience.

A proactive solution to staying online through a web directory is far better than a reactive solution with "mobilegeddon" around the corner.

A Google tool to test your website is available at the Branson Technology website. There is also a  graphic explaining all the past updates and April 21st's upcoming changes available to review. The interactive graphic on the Google updates page explains the past few years of updates prior to this latest Google algorithm announcement. It is important to follow and understand the changes going on across the world wide web as well as in the technology industry and how they will affect a website. Are the right preparations made for what is coming later in April 2015? More importantly has the web master made the right updates to help the  business grow and stay online
