CERATIZIT has now introduced the high-performance CVD grade BLACKSTARtm CTCP420 for the peripheral cutting edge as an additional option to the standard PVD grade SILVERSTARtm CTPP430.

-       Thanks to TiCN/Al2O3 coatings even greater wear resistance

-       Particularly suitable for machining steel and cast iron materials due to its excellent coating characteristics at high cutting speeds

-       The advantages of both coating types are concentrated in one tool by combining the central cutting edge of the SILVERSTARtm CTPP430 with the peripheral cutting edge of the BLACKSTARtm CTCP420: increase in cutting speed by up to 30 per cent as well as longer tool life
