Often, the lace and silk articles are expensive. You may extend the life of the garment by making sure that you will spend the time and the effort to take care of it using the right methods. In this article, you will learn more about the considerations that you have to make in washing these articles.

Preparation
In washing the garments, you have to prepare the things that you will need for the task first. This is important to help you be efficient while washing the lace lingerie.
- Drying rack
- Thick cotton towel
- Sink basin with dishpan or stopper
- Lukewarm water
- Gentle liquid washing soap, preferably non-chlorinated

Set-up
First, you need to insert the stopper in the sink basin and fill it with lukewarm water. The level of the water should approximately be two-thirds full. As an alternative, you may fill your dishpan with tepid water until the container is around two-thirds full.

Soapy Water Preparation
Next, you need to add around two teaspoons of liquid soap into the water. To help you form some suds, you have to agitate the water using your fingers. As soon as the suds start to form, you may then place the lace lingerie to the soapy water. You have to let the garment soak in the water for around 10 to 15 minutes.

Inspection
If the lace lingerie has stains before you place it in the water for soaking, you have to inspect those parts and check out if it still has the marks on the parts concerned. If the stains are still there, you may then apply some liquid soap on your fingertips and rub off the remaining stains that are still present in the garment.

Rinsing and Wringing
After getting rid of the remaining stains from the garment, you need to place the lace lingerie on a towel. Next, you have to drain off the contents of the sink and pour out the water from the dishpan. To prepare the water for rinsing, you need to refill the dishpan or sink with lukewarm water and swirl the lingerie around. You may then wrap the garment around the towel and roll this up to wring off the excess water.
