Wallace Wireless Upgrades BlackBerry® Super App WIC Messenger

Improves Corporate Contact Management and Alerting for Business Continuity and Day to Day Operations

Toronto, ON - April 22, 2010 - Wallace Wireless today announced that it will be demonstrating the upcoming release of its popular BlackBerry® Super App, Wallace Information Communicator (WIC) at Research In Motion's (NASDAQ: RIMM) (TSX: RIM) Wireless Enterprise Symposium in Orlando April 27-29, 2010. This upgrade will be released in May, and will simplify and significantly improve the usability of the WIC Messenger product, saving customers time and money by giving them instant access to the information they need.

"As our customer implementations grow in size, we continue to find better ways for end-users to locate and take action on the information they need quickly and efficiently", says Rob Moffat, President of Wallace Wireless. "One of the key improvements to the new user interface on the BlackBerry smartphone is the ability to search through thousands of contacts and view useful results in a fraction of a second".

The WIC Messenger Super App can push and store thousands of contacts to the BlackBerry smartphone from multiple existing contact sources at the customer site, and keep this information continually up-to-date so users have their corporate information with them whenever and wherever they need it.

In addition to the updated BlackBerry application, version 4.6 of the WIC platform has added the following features that make it easier to manage groups and information from other systems:

* Improved ability to synchronize contacts with Microsoft Active Directory (AD), including the flexibility to filter only the contacts that need to be synchronized with the WIC platform, and to automatically create and synchronize WIC distribution lists by inheriting the Organizational Unit hierarchy of AD.

* Ability to integrate the WIC Pager product with external systems, for example the ability for rules-based alarm systems in a hospital setting to leverage WIC Pager to securely deliver alerts from clinical systems to physicians. Wallace's improved support for the WCTP protocol allows for the originating systems to receive delivery receipts, read receipts and responses.

* The ability to deliver alerts to non-BlackBerry smartphones via SMS.
