Wakayama Pavilion (Hall 3D & 3E) in Hong Kong Houseware Fare 2015 at HKCEC. April 20-23

Wakayama Brands' Official Participation in Asia's Largest Houseware Fair

Wakayama is Japan’s foremost production region for household utensils.

This industry, which dates back around 200 years, started from making products like brooms and scouring brushes from shuro, an evergreen tree of the palm family. The coarse fiber from shuro bark has superb durability and corrosion resistance, and stretches well, so it is widely used even now. This encounter with shuro was a decisive factor in making Wakayama the center of household utensil production it is today.

By now, using new materials and improved technology, Wakayama can develop products with attractive designs, high functionality and durability, environment-friendliness, and added value. Wakayama’s household utensils, the producers of a wonderful way of life, will keep on meeting consumer needs.
