Vutility Selected to Participate in AWS Sustainable Cities Accelerator for Infrastructure

Vutility will enable real-time energy monitoring supporting sustainability in the built environment leveraging AWS products and services.

Vutility, Inc., today announced it has been selected to participate in the AWS Sustainable Cities Accelerator for Infrastructure, a technical, business, and mentorship program for commercially scaled, high-growth startups seeking to use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to make infrastructure more sustainable. This opportunity will support Vutility's global expansion of IoT-enabled energy management applications.

The four-week AWS Sustainable Cities Accelerator curriculum provides hands-on AWS technical and cloud training, mentorship, coaching, and business support. As one of just nine companies chosen globally for this opportunity, Vutility will receive up to $100,000 in computing credits, training and support, mentorship, and additional business development resources from AWS, including opportunities to speak with clean tech investors.

Through the accelerator, Vutility will meet directly with infrastructure industry experts and receive hands-on AWS technical and cloud training, mentorship, coaching and business support. Vutility hopes to expand the commercial applications and geographical penetration of the company's industry-leading hardware and cloud-enabled data delivery. Vutility also anticipates opportunities to deliver innovative and disruptive energy insights and analytics.

"With commercialized deployments to over 25 countries to date, Vutility is pushing the boundaries of cloud-enabled energy efficiency and performance optimization strategies," said Micheal Austin, Vutility's Chief Technology Officer. "As we continue increasing our global footprint, having a leading cloud infrastructure provider like AWS is essential to delivering our scalable, self-powered and edge-intelligent HotDrop energy meters and providing the visibility that organizations need to achieve their net-zero and sustainability commitments."

"One of the greatest challenges in the public sector is our collective need for more sustainable infrastructure," said Jeff Kratz, general manager of Worldwide Public Sector Partners at AWS. "By working with AWS, we believe that startups in our AWS Sustainable Cities Accelerator will harness the power of the cloud to make global infrastructure more sustainable and efficient."
