Von Vape Forced to Switch Gears on Offshore Powerboat Racing Sponsorship Due to European Union TPD Decision

Von Vape Premium E-Liquids forced to rescind their 2016 sponsorship of P1 Superstock Offshore Powerboat racing as a result of the recent controversial decision by the European Union's Tobacco Product Directive limiting participation of e-liquid companies participation in team sponsorship. P1 Superstock airs in Germany, England and many other countries in Europe that forced Von Vape to get creative.

Von Vape Premium Black Label E-Liquids is proud to sponsor the #abillionlives race boat in the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix taking place on July 2nd and 3rd in Sarasota, Florida. Von Vape has been a long time supporter of the powerboat racing circuit, but has been forced to rescind this year’s sponsorship as a result of the recent controversial decision by the European Union's Tobacco Product Directive (TPD) to limit the participation of e-liquid companies in sports team sponsorships. Regulations governing sponsorships changed mid-season without an opportunity for liquid tobacco companies to finish the already committed to season.

“It is sad when a group of bureaucrats use propaganda to try and limit debate and freedom, but that is exactly what the EU is doing with TPD,” said Francis Suits.  “eVapor companies like Von Vape have gone the extra mile to make a safe product that allows an alternative to cigarette smoking, but it now looks like a group of faceless officials in Europe are trying to use their unelected power to sway public opinion without any facts or data to support their position.”

In order to combat the misinformation being spewed from the EU, we have decided to stand up to this governmental bullying by sponsoring and supporting the #abillionlives movement,

Joshua Unger, Director of Operations

The EU’s decision has affected Von Vape’s ability to advertise at televised events, but it has not stopped them from fulfilling their commitment to the P1 Superstock and AquaX series for the remainder of the race season.

“In order to combat the misinformation being spewed from the EU, we have decided to stand up to this governmental bullying by sponsoring and supporting the #abillionlives movement,” said Joshua Unger. “We will replace our current branding with #abillionlives in hopes of sparking a conversation about the use of liquid nicotine products.  It is time for the truth to make it out to the public because it is obvious those who subscribe to political correctness don’t want a debate, instead they want to silence those who disagree.”

Together, the Vonvape - #abillionlives partnership will reach over 40 million people through P1 Racings television distribution. The recent success of the #abillionlives premiers and social media outreach will only expand the efforts of the Von Vape brand to reach new potential customers. The new initiative will expose the Von Vape & A Billion Lives brands to millions of people and educate them on the differences between vaping and the dangers of cigarettes.

The new #abillionlives will sponsor competitors in the P1 Superstock and P1 AquaX who will compete in the upcoming fourth race and remainder of the season.
