VIP Confirms The Addition Of Apple Products To Their Distribution Range
VIP has today announced that the company has added Apple products to their portfolio.
Online, June 22, 2011 (Newswire.com) - For the first time in the company's 20 year history, VIP will distribute iMacs, iPads, iPods and the accessories affiliated with these products. VIP's relationship with Apple has developed largely through customer demand.
Dave Stevinson, VIP's sales director explains: "Historically, VIP has focused primarily on PC related components, however our systems business has grown exponentially with core resellers asking us to broaden our offering to include the Apple products."
"We're thrilled to be adding Apple products to our line up as well as other Mac related third-party products and accessories," continued Stevinson. "By being able to offer resellers ASUS, MSI and Apple systems, tablets and peripherals, VIP are in a much stronger position to help these business savvy resellers leverage demand in this growing market."
Stevinson warns resellers though that the margin on Apple products is far less than that of traditional PC products.
The distributor plans to establish a new Apple Business Unit and is currently looking to recruit a senior business manager to head up the range.
With Apple now in the mix, VIP plans to become a one-stop-tablet-shop for resellers with products from all three camps: Windows Mobile, Apple and Google Android.
