ViennaCC's Music Video "Words Of Love" Shows Interactive TV

Musician ViennaCC shows how interactive music video could look like in future.

Austria based musician ViennaCC produced a music video with the song "Words Of Love" from his latest album "Going Out For Summer".

The music is a rumba. The rhythm section is filtered by a effect to make it sound more modern and not like a recording from the Sixties.

ViennaCC: "This song is very melodious and good for dancing after midnight. It reminds me on the time when I played dance hall music with a band. Playing all night from 8 pm to 4 am is a hard job, but you learn a lot."

In the video the musician is playing around with a frame in his hands where he cuts out pieces as freeze image from the video.

ViennaCC: "I like tricky computer effects. A music video simply showing the band performing the song is boring. It's a standard concept for music videos."

Another gag in the video is a simulation of a touch screen. Menus appear on the screen and a hand chooses from options to change background and colours.

ViennaCC: "I had the idea when I was discussing with a friend about the future of TV. Maybe one day there will be more interactivity on TV possible. Today's technology cannot provide such services. My music video shows possible developments in the future. This is not a real interactive video - but it looks like."

There is also a dog in the music video sitting near the musician and getting cut by the frame. At the end a menu option "Opinion" is chosen and the dog shows it's opinion about the song.

ViennaCC: "That is the fun element in the music video. Don't take the work too serious."

A young Philippine lady named Mary Joy from Manila is playing in the music video too. ViennaCC became acquainted via twitter and he asked her to act in his music video. He never met this lady peronally and never talked to her. They only communicated via twitter and email.

ViennaCC: "I call it transcontinental cooperation between Europe and Asia. I never met Mary Joy. I explained what I need and she took the shots with her camera. Then she sent videos and photos to me. Fantastic, isn't it! I consider to make a movie with people from all five continents without meeting them."
