ViennaCC Launching Christmas Video and Free Music Download
Austrian music & film producer launched Christmas video with his version of Christmas traditional "Oh, how joyfully" arranged as rocksong
Online, December 11, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Austria based musician ViennaCC recorded the traditional Christmassong "Oh how joyfully" (Oh du froehliche) and produced a short musicvideo showing the Chrsitmas market in Vienna. The song can be downloaded for free. The song is arranged as indie rocksong.
ViennaCC: "This year I awoke in the morning and there was a reindeer at my window. With metallic shells and glittering lights and colourful gift packets in a sleigh. A beardy man shouted to me: "Oh, how joyfully waits the world on Christmas Eve. Ho ho ho!" and off they were leaving not one gift for me. Well, I live in 3rd floor with 2 balconies. Suddenly I heard the bells from the church, I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and I was aware that I have to record this song. That's the story."
The videoshot was taken at the biggest amd most famous Christmas market in Vienna near Cityhall (Rathaus). ViennaCC wants to give impressions of Christmas in Vienna to the world. The video starts with shots at the market stalls. Then the camera moves over the market stalls to the big Christmas tree in front of the Cityhall and up to the "Iron Knight" (Rathausmann). Santa Claus rushes by in his sleigh. It is a rocket sleigh without reindeers, obvisously with a warp-engine.
In Austria usually Christkind is coming with presents. There is a post office in Steyr, called "Postamt Christkindl" and also on the Christmas market near Cityhall there is a small "Christkindl"-post office. Santa Claus is not as famous in Vienna. Neverthelesse when you go through the streets you see red dressed Santa-men. In Austria we call Santa Claus "Weihnachtsmann" (Christmas-man).
Every year ViennaCC publishes a rockversion of a Christmas song. Last year it was "O Christmas Tree" (Oh Tannenbaum), the year before "Silent night, Holy night" (Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht).
