Vice Prime Minister Kris Peeters Will Open the Ninth Edition of the Bruges Beer Festival

Vice Prime Minister Kris Peeters to open the ninth edition of the Bruges Beer Festival which has more then 80 Belgian Brewers and over 400 Belgian beers.

This weekend 06/02/2016 and 07/02/2016 Bruges is again the place to Beer. The Bruges Autonomous Beertasters (BAB) are organizing their 9th edition of the Beer festival.

Next to the more than 80 brewers/ beercompanies and the more than 400 different beers, the festival will also focus on “art and beer”. At the beerfestival the visitor will be able to follow an art route where more than 20 pieces of art will be exhibited. 

Foodpairing, as usual, also takes its place at the festival and this in the BAB cooking theatre, under the professional guidance of Gastrovita. Some of Bruges’ best chefs prepare delicious meals inspired by beer. In between the live cooking BAB-chats will take place, with amongst others Geert Hoste, Bart Cannaerts…

Kris Peeters will officially open the festival on Saturday at 11 o’clock and at 12 o’clock sharp the doors will be opened for the public. 

‘De Beurshal’ of Bruges will again be transformed into the beermekka for 20,000 beer fanatics from all over the world. Last year 42 different nationalities found their way to this European mekka of beer.
