Verbal Ink is Now Ubiqus On Demand

LA-Based Transcription Company Leverages Brand Identity and Technologies of Its Parent Company to Provide More Services to Clients

Ubiqus On Demand

The Ubiqus Group announced that its subsidiary company Verbal Ink will offer automated transcription and other services under its new name: Ubiqus On Demand.

Launched in May 2021, Ubiqus On Demand provides the same online ordering platform familiar to Verbal Ink customers, but with a brand presence that matches its parent company and offering automated transcription using the speech recognition tool developed by the R&D team at Ubiqus.

"Verbal Ink fit well into the Ubiqus family because of our shared commitment to personalized service, superior quality and an excellent client experience," said Anthony Cosimano, CEO of Ubiqus USA. "By rebranding the site to Ubiqus On Demand, we've incorporated the best of both brands: Verbal Ink's commitment to optimal service and Ubiqus' commitment to developing technologies that are suited to client needs."

Ubiqus On Demand's online ordering platform allows clients to choose from the following services:

  • Human transcription performed by some of the most experienced typists in the industry
  • Automated transcription using automatic speech recognition (ASR) tools developed by Ubiqus
  • Foreign language transcription (transcribing audio in one language into a document in another)

Users can upload digital audio files in multiple formats and download the final document in Word or text format, with or without timecoding. They may choose human transcription for as little as $1.25 per audio minute, or they may choose to use Ubiqus' proprietary ASR tool to complete a raw transcript in less time and for as little as $0.25 per minute.

"Verbal Ink always focused on providing personalized, high-quality service to all our clients, regardless of project size or budget," noted Justin Vaughan, Operations Manager for Ubiqus On Demand. "Many of our clients regularly face time and budgetary pressures that may impact the ability to use human transcription services. Our automated transcription tool provides an option that makes transcription services more accessible."

In addition to transcription and translation services, Ubiqus On Demand offers writing and editing, website localization, and subtitling and closed captioning.
