VenDipity Begins Crowdfunding for the ChargeM Universal Battery Charging Ecosystem
New York City, New York, November 9, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Technology startup, VenDipity, has launched a bilingual crowdfunding campaign for its flagship product ChargemSpot, a cloud-synced mobile device charging station integrated with user personalized interest-based digital signage capabilities. Hosted on the popular crowdfunding website IndieGoGo, the Bilingual-intercultural campaign hopes to raise $75,000 to develop and launch the product.
VenDipity, founded by Latin-American entrepreneur Joseph Gómez, is a New York City-based hardware and software technology startup. Their flagship product ChargemSpot aims to provide its users with a convenient way to charge mobile electronic devices in local businesses and public facilities, alleviating the worry of running out of battery power. During the 20 minute charging time, users can interact with a touch screen capable of featuring personalized advertising, logos, specials offers based on user’s individual interests and more. The system includes digital signage technology to help enhance menu viewing experience at local establishments like restaurants, coffeehouses, bars and entertainment venues. It synchronizes consumer’s mobile devices, under a secured user account and delivers an interactive charging experience. The Chargemspot then understands and follows the user’s brand preferences, specific “Likes”, previous menu purchases and buying likelihood from place to place, wherever the network becomes available.
"We are delighted to announce our ChargemSpot crowdfunding campaign," said a company spokesman for VenDipity. “We are delighted to announce our ChargemSpot crowdfunding campaign,” said a company spokesman for VenDipity. “We want people far and wide to support our project campaign as it will expose the power of crowdfunding to many Latinos and Latino communities across the Western Hemisphere.”
The Energy Star®-certified ChargemSpot’s main feature will be what Gómez describes as a “universal battery charging ecosystem.” Instead of being limited to a small range of devices, the ChargemSpot will provide a wide range of common charging cables, ensuring that mobile electronic devices ranging from smartphones to digital cameras will be capable of charging on the platform. For most devices, the charging time will average only 20 minutes — significantly faster than most outlet-based charging systems.
Through the free VenDipity mobile app, users will be able to locate ChargemSpot locations with an interactive map of their surrounding area. After plugging in, ChargemSpots will recognize devices through the user's account and create a personalized experience based on the user’s brand preferences, likes, and previous purchases. With this information, the ChargemSpot’s touchscreen display will feature a personalized greeting alongside targeted advertising and product suggestions. This level of personalized interaction will not only provide for a more engaging user experience, but it will also provide better ways for businesses to enhance customer outreach.
Through the ChargemSpot’s interactive touchscreen display, businesses will be able to feature logos, advertisements, company promotional materials, digital menus, payment options and more. The ChargemSpot can be mounted either on walls or next to tables, depending on the needs of the owner. Business owners will also be able to manage user subscriptions through either a “pay-per-use” or “plug-n-charge” option.
If their initial crowdfunding is successful, VenDipity plans to launch the ChargemSpot in the New York City metropolitan area. More details, including supporter rewards, can be found on their IndieGoGo campaign page.
