Vans Footwear release Summer 2010 footwear range
Online, April 30, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Popular American footwear brand Vans Footwear have just released their 2010 trainer collection for the UK market. Vans footwear which is popular with skateboarders and street cyclists, and college students have updated many of their designs to reflect new fashion trends whilst still keeping to their traditional style.
The collection includes trainers for both women and men and many of the classic styles such as the Checkerboard slip on, Canvas Authentic and Authentic Lo Pro. New shoes to the range come in the form of collaborations with the US rock band Kiss, a Sex Pistols inspired range, US street artist Donny Miller and graphic artist Chuck Anderson. New footwear styles within the Vans ladies collection include the Chukka Law and checked slip on.
The Vans brand was first created in 1964 by Paul Van Doren who had a long and established career within the shoe industry. Vans were only the fourth US company to produce Vulcanised footwear after Converse, Keds and Randys. The company rose to acclaimed success throughout the 1970s, but by the 1980s has filed for champter 11 bankruptcy. By the 1990s the company was back in its feet and their brand placement amongst skaters and rock stars has helped boost their profile.
