UAV Coach, a leading provider of drone training and education with a mission to train safe drone pilots, announced the enrollment of their 20,000th student and the launch of hands-on drone training in San Francisco, Atlanta and Orlando. These milestones mark the 5-year anniversary of the company’s founding.

“I’m proud of our team and so grateful for the thousands of people who’ve trusted us to train them. We are fortunate to participate in such a fast-evolving and dynamic industry, and we’re excited about what’s to come,” said Alan Perlman, CEO of UAV Coach.

In April 2019, UAV Coach surveyed 1,389 U.S. drone pilots on topics including how much they earn, how often they fly, their industry and much more. UAV Coach found that, of the respondents who identified themselves as self-employed/freelance drone pilots, 10% made $10,000 or more in the prior 12 months, while 68% made less than $1,000. The full report is available for free here.
