Two Philadelphia Companies Teaming Up to Donate One Year of Marketing and PR to a Lucky Non-Profit

Philadelphia-based Majux Marketing and Hoopla Public Relations have teamed up to offer one year of free marketing and public relations to the winner of a contest for non-profit organizations.

The contest, running through March 30th, grants the winning non-profit 12 months of complimentary marketing and web design services provided by Majux and Hoopla.

Interested non-profits can enter by sending a video or email to contact [at] majux [dot] com. Video applicants should upload a submission to YouTube or Vimeo explaining what they would accomplish with one year of free marketing.

To enter the contest via email, submitters should send a blog post at least 200 words in length explaining the same. The submissions will then be opened to up to voting. Voting takes place at www.majux.com.

March 1st is the final deadline for submissions, and voting closes on March 30th.

Services included in the package are website design (or re-design), website management, public relations, email marketing, local marketing, reputation management, social media management, and search engine optimization.

Majux Partners Bernie Clark and Luke Marchie came up with the idea after a meeting with a Philadelphia-area non-profit.

"Budget constraints are obviously always a concern in the nonprofit world. It was a nice way for us to give back and help one non-profit spread the word without having to move or raise money for a full-service marketing campaign" says Clark.

Majux's neighbor, Hoopla, quickly jumped on board with the idea to provide the public relations.

The winning contestant will be announced on Majux's website on April 15, 2014.
