Two Ford Models Get Top Pick In J.D. Power Study
Consumers pick Ford Flex and Expedition as most appealing in their class.
Online, August 2, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Chaparral Ford offers all of the highly ranked Ford models in J.D. Power and Associates' Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study. The 2012 Ford Expedition and Flex earned the top ranked positions in their segments while the Mustang and Fiesta filled in the second and third spots, respectively, in their categories.
J.D. Power and Associate's APEAL Study examines consumer's responses to their new vehicles after 90 days of ownership, basing comments into eight categories: engine/transmission; ride, handling and braking; comfort/convenience; seats; cockpit/instrument panel; heating, ventilation and cooling; sound system; and styling/exterior.
The Ford Expedition EL followed by the standard Expedition trim earned the first spot in the larger crossover category.
Ford took the midsize crossover/SUV segment as well with the 2012 Ford Flex with standard options.
The 2012 model of the infamous sports car legend, Ford Mustang Convertible ahead of the Mustang Coupe, placed second in the midsize sporty car segment.
Ford Fiesta Hatchback and then Fiesta Sedan took the third spot for a sub compact car.
Overall, Ford Motor Company ranked above the industry average, slightly lower than premium car brands on J.D. Power and Associates 2012 APEAL Study.
