Two Farm Luxe Wedding Industry Experts Partner to Shake Up the Bridal Expo Scene in New York
SOUTH NEW BERLIN, N.Y., March 14, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Sharon Boustani, owner of award-winning farm venue Gilbertsville Farmhouse, and Ashley Paul, owner of highly acclaimed and nationally recognized C & A Event Planning, have joined forces to bring a fresh and fun experience to brides and grooms planning weddings in New York and the Northeast. Sage Bridal Experience is the first of its kind – a boutique bridal event specializing in the farm luxe and rustic wedding markets.
Instead of the traditional expo model, Sharon and Ashley have designed an intimate, interactive and fun experience where brides and grooms can meet vendors, get to know them and sample their food, products and services. Sage vendors have been hand-selected to present couples with industry leaders who are well-versed in luxury rustic, farm and barn weddings. Hosted at Gilbertsville Farmhouse, which specializes in weekend weddings, Sage will offer participants mingling and sampling time in the venue’s unique barns, outdoor spaces and glamping tent village. The experience will end with a fashion show worthy of red-carpet events.
Sage Bridal Experience will take place on Sunday, April 29, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of Gilbertsville Farmhouse in South New Berlin, N.Y. Neighboring the towns of Oneonta and Cooperstown, the Sage experience is centrally located and an easy drive from major Northeast hubs: 3.5 hours from NYC; 3.5+ hours from Philadelphia; 3 hours from Rochester; 3 hours from Connecticut and New Jersey; 4 hours from Boston; 1.75 hours from Syracuse and Albany; and 1 hour from Binghamton. Hotel blocks have been made at The Hampton Inn in Oneonta, New York.
Participating vendors are listed on the Sage website. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite and the Sage website as well.
About Gilbertsville Farmhouse:
Gilbertsville Farmhouse operates primarily as a rustic wedding venue, specializing in weekend events. It was founded in 2013 by Aldo and Sharon Boustani and their four children, formerly of New York City. They have extensively repurposed the buildings and grounds on their former dairy farm to create a unique and gorgeous rustic wedding venue featuring two stunning barns and their one-of-a-kind Glamping Village. Gilbertsville Farmhouse is only 3 1/2 hours from NYC and the first-ever glamping venue in New York State. The Boustanis are also the owners and creators of NYGoatYoga, New York’s first-ever goat yoga operation, and the venue is host to overnight Goat Yoga retreats during the summer and an annual Couples Retreat in November.
Being a group of innovators and adventurers, the family enjoys creating new experiences to share their love of family, connection and inspiration with their supporters, friends and community.
About C & A Event Planning:
C & A Event Planning was founded by the mother-daughter dynamic duo of Cathy Simpson and Ashley Paul. Cathy, a seasoned industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, started in the event industry in Virginia, working at many highly regarded banquet halls, elite hotels and dining establishments. Ashley, her daughter, learned the business from the best – her mom. Ashley started working in the industry as a teenager and never looked back. Cathy and Ashley started C & A Event Planning in 2009. They brought their business, expertise and love of event planning with them when they relocated to central New York in 2013 and established C & A Event Planning, a boutique planning, styling and floral design company in the Northeast. Quickly making their mark in the New York industry, Cathy and Ashley have become staples in the rustic elegant and Bo-Ho chic scene. Nowadays, Cathy enjoys spending more time as Grandma to Ashley’s little boy, and Ashley heads the business with Cathy as her right-hand.
