TVS Apache RTR Hyper Edge Launched In India
Online, October 20, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Just imagine the plight of a product that has been released minus the deserving attention it wanted in terms of marketing, promotion and yes the launch. But what if a product it self does not deserves to attract such credentials?
Well, such a fate less product was launched recently. Remember the earlier launched highly successful bike of TVS, the Apache RTR 160? Yes, the same bike that became a rage amongst the entire auto freaks all across.
Now picture this. The new bike christened as TVS Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge, a newly improved version of the RTR 160 series has recently been launched by TVS motors sans all the glitter that marks the arrival of a product in the market.
The most unusual part and for some people it may sound pleasing as well that the new bike remains unchanged keeping the same features and specifications as the Apache RTR 160 and have gone only for marginal changes.
TVS has just added the 'Hyper Edge' stickers on the front fender, fuel trunk, exhaust and font. Some new features of the bike include removable rear fender, just like the old Apache RTR 180.
However, the only pleasing news is that the company has not even increased the price of the bike by a penny.
Amongst other features of the new bike Aerodynamic air scoops, engine fairing, split grab rails, Racing foot pegs, Racing GT strip, Forged brake lever and a new silencer makes the crust.
The price of this newly fringed bike launched without much fanfare stands at 65, 197 INR (On Road, Pune).
Must say it was not at all a good marketing and promotion scheme chosen by the company to bring the new version. Auto companies must adhere to a core marketing fact that no matter how bad or good a final product is, they shall provide all the necessary actions required to strike a chord with the target audience and a chance to grow on the product life cycle must be awarded.
