Treasure Goddess Yarn Announces Launch of New Buried Treasure Collection

In anticipation of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, Treasure Goddess Yarn wants every knitter to not just talk like a pirate, but to Knit Like a Yarn Pirate. The Buried Treasure Collection will be launched on Friday, Sept 16, 2016.

Floats Your Boat Gradient Hand Dyed Yarn Set

On Friday, Sept 16, 2016, Treasure Goddess Yarn, an online shop that specializes in luxury hand dyed yarn, will be unveiling the Buried Treasure Collection. Christine Long-Derks, owner/creator, is known for her luxurious yarn bases, breathtaking colors, and pirate themed colorway names. "Mermaid's Curse", "Lusty Wench", and "Treasure of the Emerald Isle" are some of her customer's favorites in her existing yarn line.

The Buried Treasure Collection features 12 new products including two limited edition gradient sets of hand dyed yarn. "Blackbeard's Revenge" goes from pale grays to silvers to dark charcoal blacks. "Floats Your Boat" represents island waters from the sandy beach to pale blues to gradually darkening waters of rich, intense turquoise teal. These gradient sets will be available in a limited number in three fingering weight yarn bases. A superwash merino yarn, a merino yarn with sparkle and a yarn with cashmere for pure splendor.

My goal is to encourage fiber artists to treasure themselves. Knit and crochet with yarn that takes your breath away! Enjoy the YARRRNY adventure! Knit the Treasures!

Christine Long-Derks, Owner/Dyer of Treasure Goddess Yarn

A knitted shawl pattern and crochet scarf pattern have been designed to showcase these gradient colorways and will be released as part of this collection. Whimsical pirate sheep stitch markers and pirate sheep crochet hook/knitting needle gauges are a necessity for any Yarn Pirate's notions stash. A special new lace yarn, Mermaid's Tail, a blend of baby alpaca, silk, cashmere and sparkle will be introduced and truly belongs in a treasure chest amid the sparkle of precious gems!

Arrr, be ye not a knitter nor a crocheter? No worries, matey! The Buried Treasure Collection has hand knit wrist warmers to keep your arrrrms warm when those cold sea winds be a'blowin.
