TPC Sports Proudly Presents The 2011 Armed Forces Boxing Championship

Online, March 24, 2011 (Newswire.com) - WASHINGTON, DC - The military's best boxers square off in the ring for the 2011 Armed Forces Boxing Championship, only on The Pentagon Channel (TPC). Each episode, produced exclusively by TPC Sports, is an action-packed hour of amateur boxing.

Boxers from each of the four services compete in eight weight-classes at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The athletes who win at this level also have an opportunity to compete at the Olympic trials for a shot at representing the United States in the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games in London.

And that's not all. The shows also feature analysis by one of boxing's biggest names, Bert Sugar. With his trademark fedora and cigar, Bert provides color commentary on each bout, plus historical perspective on military boxing. Bert's been a ringside fixture for more than 30 years. He's also huge fan of the military and we're proud he's joining us.
