Toni Quiruz Takes Top Honors
Online, May 25, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Professional Saleswoman of Nevada (PSN) hosted the 24th Annual Saleswoman of the Year Dinner Dance and Fundraiser benefiting Safe Embrace. The event had over 200 in attendance and $30K in donations to auction from the community to help end the cycle of violence in families.
PSN honors 5 women in the community who exhibits the highest level of dedication, client service, honesty, integrity and community involvement, in their practice as sales professionals. PSN had a record number of nomination forms from the community this year with a total of 179. The five honorees this year were Ms. Kristy Hawke of Destinations West aka NV Women's Expo, Ms. Molly Hutchinson of Body In Knead, Ms. Toni Quiruz of Digiprint, Ms. Kate Kovalick-Patay of Creative Coverings and Ms. Gretchen Bietz of NV Discovery Museum. Toni Quiruz took top honors for 2011.
Toni currently lives in Reno with her husband of 22 years, Dulles. They have one daughter, Andrea, who is currently a Senior at UNR. Raised in Los Angeles, they moved to the Sparks/Reno area in 1995.
Toni has been in some capacity of Sales and Marketing throughout her entire professional career. Not until she joined the DigiPrint team, did it come full circle and she found herself in the trenches.
Sales have not always been a natural fit for Toni. She has achieved this success without ever taking a sales class or selling a car. She is genuine, knows her industry, and has a passion for people and their welfare. Toni believes you must above all be trustworthy, reliable, and remember that honesty is the best policy. Like Macy's and Gimbals, if you cannot produce for your customers, send them to the next best place and get them what they deserve, your best effort. In the end, it is the customer service that they will always remember, whether you made the sale or not.
Toni's most notable achievement to date has been the new visibility and credibility of DigiPrint in our community. In her 6 years employed with David, they have become the most awarded and recognized commercial printer in Northern Nevada. With that comes endless hours of work, networking, continuing education, and lots of community outreach. Being the number one printer in Northern Nevada for the second year in a row by the Reno News & Review is their most recent accomplishment. DigiPrint in comparison to the larger print shops in town is relatively small, with 8 full time employees. With that being said, they currently lead their industry in quality, customer service and affordability. On a personal note, in a primarily male dominated industry, Toni considers herself to be one of the most recognized Marketing and Sales Representatives in her field.
Toni's community involvement includes: UNR College of Business - Undergraduate Student Mentor, Washoe County's Safe N Sober Grad Night- Previous board member, Northern Nevada Chamber of Commerce- 2009 Conductor of the Year / Member, Professional Sales Women of Nevada- SWOTY finalist 2009 / Member, eWomen Network- Leadership Team / Member, We of the World- Member, American Marketing Association / Member, Business Networking Int'l- Member / Leadership Team Ambassador to 3 chapters, WIN- Member.
