This "Woman of Influence" and Toronto Serial Entrepreneur is a Finalist for Prestigious Business Award

She turned 32 just a couple of weeks ago. But she's already one of Toronto’s youngest, most accomplished entrepreneurs on the rise. So it came as little surprise to those who know her when word reached them that Emily Lyons – CEO and founder of marketing and events agency Femme Fatale Media Group – had been chosen as a finalist for the prestigious Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards – recognized worldwide as one of the most illustrious business awards – serves to shine a spotlight on individuals and companies which have continued to demonstrate outstanding excellence in entrepreneurship and innovation.

I am honored to be selected as a finalist for this award.

Emily Lyons, CEO

Throughout 2017, over 1,500 individuals were nominated for the Stevie Awards. But only a handful have been selected as finalists. Emily Lyons is one of them – a testament to her conviction that the unrelenting pursuit of business excellence will always go far.

Lyons – who has created multiple successful companies in vastly different industries – is a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year award category.

“I am honored to be selected as a finalist for this award,” Lyons says – before continuing, “Ever since creating my agency when I was just 23 years old, I’ve striven to place the highest priority on client satisfaction. As a finalist for the Stevie Awards, I can confidently say that conducting business in this spirit has proven to be a remarkable force in generating sustained success.”

Lyons already has a long list of awards to her name, including recognition as a Marketer, Woman of Influence and more.

So what’s next for the young, Stratford-born serial entrepreneur? On her horizon is an expansion of her just-launched company JWLS – a new line of deluxe “timepieces with a purpose.” The company donates a portion of all profits to research organizations devoted to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Lyons lost her beloved sister Julia in 2011 due to cystic fibrosis complications.

But Lyons has used her loss as fuel for her relentless entrepreneurial drive.

Final word: this entrepreneur of the year is one to watch.
